Wow, so I went up to Londontown yesterday to the 55DSL store offa Carnaby Street, and did a test-run for entry into the competition. I gave it my best shot, on the theme 'bliss' and each designer had 15 minutes to produce something using Adobe CS4. It was the fastest 15 mins EVER.
I was in the 2-D round and find out in the next few days if I've made the selection. It's out of about 12 designers, reduced to four. Fingers crossed. Most people had a week to mull it over, but I applied on the Friday, was called on the Saturday and went to compete on the Sunday. Designing in front of people is SCARY but kinda exhilarating. I drank three free beers afterwards and felt quite giddy.
Will post up a mockup I did yesterday when I heard about the theme.
